
Louis Cadier is an English writer and director. His directorial debut opened the Greek Festival of Drama in 2001 (London); his production of Sophocles' Antigone. After completing a thesis on Ancient Greek drama at Kings College his passion for the dramatic arts lead him to cinema, their most powerful contemporary expression.
Louis earned an Advanced Diploma in Video Editing at the University of the Arts and working first on the technical side but later as a writer and director he joined BeneathTV, a viral marketing company, cutting his teeth on advertising campaigns for Chairman's Rum, Durex and Homega Records
Throughout his career he has continuously written and published his poetry and prose including live performances of his work in the Notting Hill Carnival (London), International Video Dance Festival (Buenos Aires) and the Freedom Day Festival (Cape Town). His radio play The Spiral's Stair was broadcast on Resonance FM (London), praised for its unique voice and original use of language in verse.
Merging his creative and technical backgrounds Louis took a Masters Degree in the vocation of screen craft, graduating from the prestigious screenwriting program at Goldsmith's University in 2006.
The last 2 years have seen Louis write and produce a variety of advertising, drama, documentary and short film titles; his work in television has been shown on American, South American and English networks, recently his work was shown at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival. With this deep interest in World film, Louis has moved to Chennai as a proponent of the burgeoning discipline of screenwriting and as a new faculty member Louis has joined Mindscreen Film Institute and its global outlook for the Indian film industry.
