Sushant Alexander - Film Director
After studying Civil Engineering, he plunged straight into advertising. He worked for Trikaya Grey, (now, Grey Worldwide), Nexus Equity (now, Bates), Interface & Stark, and wrote campaigns for ELF, Mahindra & Mahindra, Sundrop, Birla White Cement, Kerala Tourism, Anchor Health & Beauty Care, Raymond Shirting, Provogue Fashion, bseindia.com (Bombay Stock Exchange), Linuxense Information Systems and Himachal Tourism. In 2005 he quit as Creative Group Head from Delhi's top ad agency to become a Filmmaker.
He learnt his first lessons in filmmaking, working as an Assistant Director in the documentary titled, 'Directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan'. A film on the world renowned auteur-Adoor Gopalakrishnan. It was screened at Mumbai International Film Festival 2006.
In October 2005, he went to Prague to study films. He made his diploma film-Estranged Love, and successfully graduated. This short was screened at many festivals during 2007-2008, including Mumbai International FICTS Festival, Hyderabad International & FILCA.
His first video art installation: Pulse, was exhibited at Gallery-Signs 2009-The Indian festival of Features and Non-Features
Currently, he works as Writer-Director making commercials, music videos and shorts, and operates under the name of Crazygum.
