Thalaivasal Vijay an alumni of the Film and television institute of Tamilnadu is today an established character actor in Tamil and Malayalam films. He received the special jury prize from the Kerala state film awards in 2011 for Yugapurushan. He is a trained gymnast and martial art exponent.
